I remember hearing a story about Rick and Morty , the hit TV show on Adult swim, and how the creator tried to get sued.

Justin Roiland , the creator of Rick and Morty, created the show Doc and Mharti. This was his attempt at taking a jab at Universal studios. His plan was to get a cease and desist and use it as publicity, so he made the most vial and disgusting spoof of Back to the future ... It was almost "Too far" as far as comedy goes. In this attempt to get sued he instead landed a TV show and that is the show that we now know as Rick and Morty. You can watch the first episode of that series here:

I was making films about random things that I thought was cool. My friend Sean had decided to leave his job. He wanted to do more creative pursuits and was done with it. So I had him film his very last week at work with a gopro strapped to him. I did an interview, and created a film over what I got. The film turned out good and had quite an impact on the boating community. This also came with some bad news. Some of Seans coworkers had tipped us off that they had a lawyer snooping around asking questions about our film and anyone who was in the film. They were sitting down all the employees and the owner of the entire company had a talk with them which ended up with a ban on filming of any kind in the workplace. We were informed that the lawyer had watched the film several times, and I suppose they didnt want to push anything legal... I guess.. The film remains up and they have no contacted me to take it down. It has generated over 30,000 views combined on separate platforms. You can catch it on Youtube here:
