I decided to go back and watch Steins;Gate over again and I just want to talk a little bit about its correlation to real life.

If you have not seen the show this might still interest you with that it ties into some real world events. The show is about a quirky scientist and a group of his friends creating a time machine out of their microwave. The part of this series that truly intrigues me is the real life circumstances of things talked about and likenesses in the show. First lets talk about John Titor.

John Titor is the name used on several bulletin boards during 2000 and 2001 by a poster claiming to be a time traveler from 2036. In these posts, Titor made numerous predictions about events in the near future, a number of them vague and some quite specific, starting with events in 2004.

He wrote about crazy things on his blog. Predictions of the future. The concepts of time travel and even how to build a time machine. He spoke of how a great election would separate the people into 5 different factions. There would be events with the likeness of "Waco" happening and they would only get worse. By this it was intended that he spoke about gun violence in the masses as well as clashes with the police. Titor predicted that this violence and separation would eventually lead to a 3rd world war in 2015. This obviously did not happen but when Titor explains the concept of time and how it works, maybe it was a different time era and some sort of "Butterfly effect" had changed the course of history for the time path that we are on currently. Maybe its all bullshit. Who knows?

Titor explained time in a way that was different than what science tells us. He said Time does not flow like a river in one continuous path. It can be changed in many directions resulting in different worlds and the people have no idea that they could have been a part of a huge time collision. The concept is mind bending but it certainly had people in an uproar. The concepts written by John Titor had later inspired the graphic novel Steins;Gate and that was later adapted into an anime series. I suggest that you check it out. Its a very entertaining yet highly profound series that is based upon the writings of John Titor and it shows how his theories can hold true.

I found his story interesting and after watching Steins;Gate it makes me want to diver deeper into the mind of John Titor and the events that unfolded behind his story. Maybe we might never know.
