UNBUNTU:I AM BECAUSE WE ARE IN STEEMIT
image edited by @johnsonkoranteng
UBUNTU is a word that was born so many years ago in some part of Africa. The story behind is so exciting. It's basically about an anthropologist (a person who studies the social life of humanity) who wanted to find out how some children thnks by using a basket full of candies. He planted the basket with the candies under a tree and lined up the children some distant away from it and told them that by the count of three, they should run toward the tree where the basket with the candies are kept and the one who gets there first is rewarded with it.
But to the amazement of the anthropologist, these children held each other's hand, ran in unity to the tree, shared the candies equally and the and enjoyed it together. When the man inquired from them their actions, they said #umbuntu meaning "How can one be happy while the others are sad" Ubuntu in the language means "I am because we are".
Why did I brought about this concept? I brought it because in #steemit platform, we can only succeed when are together. There is a saying that "if you want to go faster, you go alone but if you want to to go far, we go together". There is no one individual who can live and survive in an ecosystem because we depend on each other. So for every #community to survive and stand the test of time, the subscribers must unite or practice unbuntu and pull each other along.
How can this be done?
1.Try and have time to educate every #newbie you sign up to the steemit platform. Teach them how to go about things like being dedicated, determined to succeed when the going gets tough.
2.Try to #upvote as many posts as you can in a day. Many people waste their steem power due to lack of upvote. It's very important to upvote posts that you visit because it complements the effort of the who made it. Two or more fractions of upvote counts so no matter your #steempower, upvote as many posts as you can.
3.Try to #comment as many posts as possible. Comments teaches, motivates writers of posts. It's very disheartening to spend hours in writing a post without getting any comments. It makes you wonder why and can't also assess yourself.
So we can grow together as platform, community and a country if we consider this post seriously. You can also bring your thoughts in the comments section. My first post to the community though
My regards to @art-bangladesh and @nevlu123 for their hard work and team work for the community.

The love is there.
Well done.
