Hey people, I'm trying to awaken the poet in me. Slow and steady, I might say. I hope you guys like it

Roses are red, violets are blue
Show no emotion, not even when due
Stay strong, no complaints, have a plan
All these are expected of every man

Suffer in silence, protect your own
Bear all the pain, die alone
Tears in secret, open or distress
Are seen as nothing but weakness

Find the right path, even when you are lost
Make ends meet, no matter the cost
Stay strong, even when you are not
They are watching, tears must not be caught

Lock away emotions, throw away the key
A rock is what you are meant to be.
But one shall try to know your internal strife
And you shall call her wife

Birth your sons, teach them the lessons
That took away part of your humanity
Teach them that the lessons are blessings
Because for men, emotions are vanity
