UPTH CHILD SURVEY: THE CHILD EXPERIENCE

in #children7 years ago (edited)

Today I volunteered to help a hospital carry out a survey. The survey was to find out the average B.M.I. (Body mass index) of each primary school class. It was also a chance to evaluate the I.Q of the children. On getting there, we were told that the school had closed for the term just days before, so only a few kids had come for the survey instead of the entire school. The other volunteers and I were meant to focus on the job but while we were there, we began to interact with the kids and learn more about them personally. Honestly, it had been about six years since I last stepped into a primary school or was surrounded by so many children, but today, I realized why children are called blessings.

We met so many adorable children ranging from ages three to ten and they were as jolly and hyper active as we expected them to be. But watching them run around and play put smiles on all our faces. Two little girls even tried to trick @ogai and I… lol. They didn’t know that college kids are by far smarter than primary school kids. After we had done all the evaluations, we actually asked the doctors from the hospital to let us spend a little more time with them before we left. The children were wonderful to be around, even though they were a bit shy because they didn’t know us. With our last moments we took pictures so we’d remember them in the years to come.
