The Diary Game Better Life, January 29, 2022 : A Health Break Worth Spending
50%of the payout goes to @worldsmile
Health Break, Academic Freeze*, whatever the term may be, with all my heart I gladly embrace.
After typhoon Odette, COVID cases in the country increased rapidly. As per IATF, our city is under Alert Level 3 thus, a one - week health break is declared. And today is just one of the many reasons why I loved it.
Our morning routine starts with a cup of coffee. Paired with wheat bread for him and pandesal for me, sulbad ang gutom. Kids are still sleeping so we had our "us time" for a moment upstairs (sa among balay nga wala pa nahuman). After some time, we started with cleaning the yard when I remember the duck eggs I saw last month, more or less 30 eggs. They are survivors of typhoon I should say because our duck pen was also destroyed yet these eggs which are now new ducklings survived.
To give these ducklings a new home, my husband started repairing their pen. It's good to have these at home because not only can they be our food on the table, they can also be a source of income. Each can be sold for 300 - 350 pesos depending on the size.
At noon, we had our grilling session. It's good to be home and enjoy the day with kids and be like kids sometimes.
And so it's kainan time with the family coupled with a bottle of cold drink, it's a happy tummy day.
That would be all for today. See you in my next post.
As always,
@jonabeth
