NGC 3077 is an interesting galaxy that shows the rounded silhouette of an elliptical galaxy. However, long exposure images have revealed the presence of large clouds of dust and gas inside it that, radially, seem to want to escape from the galaxy. These dust masses are the result of the interaction of NGC 3077 with M81 and M82, which can also be tested on a larger scale when observed at different wavelength, with the presence of gas strands between NGC 3077 and M81 . Located about 12.8 million light-years away, NGC 3077 has a diameter of about 20,000 light-years, thus being considered a dwarf galaxy of uncertain type, since it presents characteristics of the elliptic, spiral and irregular.
What is clear is that it is a victim of an intense proliferation stellar, thanks to the gas that was once attracted by M81 and now, after many millions of years, falls back into the galaxy, while stirring the interstellar medium . Therefore, we can say that NGC 3077 shares its behavior with M82, which is also a stellar outbreak galaxy.

The Bode galaxy is a spiral galaxy that is located 12 million light years from Earth, in the constellation Ursa Major. It is also known as the Spiral Galaxy M81, Messier 81, or NGC 3031. Its name comes from the German astronomer Johann Elert Bode, who discovered it in 1774.
It is believed that the Bode galaxy contains about 250 billion stars, having a somewhat smaller size than the Milky Way. M81 is one of the best examples of the spiral design in a galaxy, since it is equipped with almost perfect arms spiraling towards its center.
