On this day in history 106 years ago, the United States Federal Reserve (FED) was created.

This act was signed into law by then President Woodrow Wilson.

It granted legal authority to the Federal Reserve to issue Federal Reserve Notes.

These notes are now known as the US dollar.

For the first time since that has happened we have a tool that may make this Federal Reserve no longer necessary.

We don't need an institution controlling our money.

We have a distributed ledger than can act trustlessly.
