Hi steemit community i hope everyone is doing well, In this post i would like to share a word of God I've shared with some friend of mine today's morning, and its about the spiritual food.
SO when i woke up today i decided to go and see to some friend mine at her place whom i wanted to tell more about steemit, i found her studying the bible, and before bringing up steemit, we first shared the word of God with her and she was trying to explain the spiritual food to me

So she was like, the Bible is one of our greatest sources of spiritual food. But a times we still fill up on junk food. Blogs, news, TV shows, books, and video games. These things aren’t bad in themselves, but when they’re the only sources of perspective, information, and insight you consume, something is missing.

FOOD FOR THE SOUL
When you read in 1st peter 2:2, Peter said by inspiration of the holy spirit says'' as newborn babes desire the milk of the world that they may grow there by" in this verse peter was trying to implie that Christians should feed on the word of God for them to grow spiritually,
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly.” In collosians chapter 3 and verse 16 (3;16) the bible says "Just like you need physical food for physical strength, you need spiritual food for spiritual strength'' Now here the Bible describes itself as spiritual food.
This girl has made me aware that spiritual food undernourishment can be quit as real as physical starvation (i had no idea on this ), so i challenged her by asking if she would eat spiritual food in form of life giving bible verses 3 times a day for a month then she showed me a box of paper capsule each containing averse of scripture and they were to be taken daily as vitamins and proteins.

So what I've learn't is that the we should eat the word of God in order to improve our spiritual growth,

Guys thank you for reading the word,
i wish you a blessed day
@jordanlove.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful insight @jordanlove! It makes sense to me also, a person who is spiritually under-nourished is like starving for god. When we start to spiritually feed, we will feel full. Thank you again for that deep perspective!
