Hi friends!
We'll draw a 16 x 8 square grid again, we'll introduce some break lines taking care this time of establishing a strict symmetric relation between them as shown below.
Counting the curves of the patterns we have five on top, four on the sides and five on the bottom.
5 and 4 have no common factor, so we might expect to get a single endless loop. We will see that this assumption is not met in this case.
As I said previously in previous publications, there is no single mathematical formula that allows us to determine with certainty the final result of interlocking knots, since their conception is more a matter of art and design than of pure mathematics. However, we cannot ignore the enormous usefulness that geometric and mathematical concepts have in the execution of such designs.
This is the result of these interlaced loops.
