If you've ever wondered how these intricate illustrations are designed, here’s a look behind the scenes!

Initial Pencil Sketching: I start by drawing in a pencil-like style in Blender's Grease Pencil, tracing internal patterns in the Zentangle style.

Digital Inking: Next, the sketch is transformed into clean, defined lines through the digital inking process. This is the stage where the Zentangle patterns and detailed intricacies truly come to life.

Traditional Coloring: Finally, I demonstrate the magic of applying color by hand onto a printed sheet. I used colored pencils on hot-pressed printer paper to achieve the final look you see.

💡 Materials Insight:

The subtle, pastel tones in the coloring are due to a specific combination of materials:

Paper: A high-quality printer sheet with a hot-pressed surface, which helps the color lay down smoothly.

Colored Pencils: The hardness of the colored pencils also contributes to that softer, more muted saturation, creating the lovely pastel finish.

I hope you enjoy watching this beautiful Nautilus come to life!
