My answer would be none of them, the bible says marriage is for better or for worse, and that is why God's intervention is necesary in a marriage where there seems to be violence.
I world rather say, if it's a case of very dangerous violence the best thing would be that the woman leaves the man for a while and give him space, and yet keep praying for him.
