Today, February 25, 2023, is Election Day for the year 2023.

All eligible Nigerians will cast their votes for their preferred candidates this morning.

Elections for governorships and members of parliament at the federal and state levels will take place on Saturday, 11 March 2023.

On February 25, the same day as the presidential election, elections will take place in all 109 senatorial districts and 360 constituencies of Nigeria's bicameral federal assembly.

In March 2023, elections for the state legislature and governor are held in 28 of the nation's 36 states. Read more

(1) Election for president:

Candidates from 18 political parties are running for president.

Yesterday at midnight, elections ended. Also, the parties are internally preparing for the effective launch of their respective candidates.

Both candidates and parties will realign.

Elections for national assemblies

The Red Chamber election is for 109 Senate seats.

The Green Chamber election is for 360 seats (House of Representatives).

Both sensitive and non-sensitive materials are now being given by INEC to the various local governments, who will then distribute them to the various wards and polling places.

The day of the general election in 2023 will be fascinating.
