The diary game [18/03/2026]: Waking up from sleep, doing little early morning routine, and embarking on little adventure.
Good day, phenomenal beings, and welcome to another day of my diary game.
This morning, I woke up feeling just like every other normal human, but my body was saying something else. You know that weak feelings right? Like you've been fighting really hard with someone in your sleep, and they finally won.
Lagos heat itself was something else. I tried and forced myself out of bed around 7am, sat on bed and was just staring at the ceiling for more than five minutes thinking about my life. Then,I finally decided to do my little morning routine. Did a little push-ups till my arms became so weak, but I was already feeling like a king.
I quickly brush my teeth and had a cold bath after, felt refreshed, I brought on my favorite jersey and some black shorts from my box. Hunger started, but I waved it off, adventure called and I answered first, so I stepped out to visit my guy Ifeanyi. We linked up at his apartment in Ketu, somewhere in Lagos. We started gisting and talked about plenty things ranging from football drama, igbos cultural days and some traditions. Infact, we talked about a whole aIot, I teased him and we both laughed it off.
Time was against me already, we bought some chilled soft drinks and gala, and ate.
Ifeanyi my guy, saw me off. On my way back, we couldn't resist sitting under this beautiful natural tree by the roadside, nature's own AC on itself own with cool breeze. It felt like a free and fresh therapy.
Eventually, we parted ways. I crossed the road, waving him off as he trekked back home.
Yam porridge has been haunting my soul for days. So, i spotted this mama selling fresh tubers of yam by the junction, I bargained like a champ (from 2k down to 1.5, I grabbed a big one, some spices, paid and then left.
I got home, dropped the yam, took evening bath, but with hot water this time, used soap and sponge, then gently washed away the day's dust and sweats on my body.
Then went into the kitchen, cooked the porridge with palm oil, ugwu leaves and other spices. I ate till my satisfaction, dranked chilled malt I bought, then lied on the couch with my phone in my hands browsing.
Thank y'all for reading through.
