Reasons Christians celebrate Palm 🌴 Sunday
Christains celebrate Palm 🌴 Sunday to commemorate Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem when he rode on a donkey and people laid down Palm branches on his path as he rode in. Crowds paid homage to Jesus in Jerusalem. It is celebrated every last Sunday before Easter.
Palm 🌴 Sunday is the Sunday before Jesus death and resurrection.
Palm branches are now used as symbol of peace and victory.
The Palm branches are later collected and burnt to create ashes that are put on people's heads on Ash Wednesday by Catholics before lent starts.
