"THIS SICKNESS IS NOT UNTO DEATH BUT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD".

John 11:4 KJV
"When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby."

Not every situations we find ourselves are meant to be for our detriment. God allows certain situations for His own glory, and so that Jesus Christ His beloved Son, can be glorified thereby. Unfortunately, many of us, even Christians, don't understand it from this perspective. This is why you see lots of people, and even some Christians complain and murmur at every little challenge. They forget in a hurry the scriptures that says in everything, give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus, concerning us (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

When Lazarus's sickness was reported to the Lord by Mary and Martha, He made them to understand that the sickness was not unto death, but that it was for the glory of God, and that He, the Son of God, might be glorified thereby. Mary and Martha did not understand this, but the Lord proved it when He brought Lazarus back to life, after his death (John 11:43-45).

I declare to you that that sickness bedeviling you, is not unto death, but God has allowed it for a purpose for His own glory, and that His Son, Jesus Christ might be glorified thereby. Yours may not be sickness, it could be a different challenge. May be, marital challenge, business challenge, academic challenge, family challenge, financial challenge, etc. You have been faithful in serving the Lord, and you have been persistent in prayers, but it does appear as if the heavens are closed against you. Or may be you think God has forgotten about you. The fact is that, the Almighty God has allowed the situation to linger so that He can glorify His Name thereby. So, remain steadfast and hold on to the Lord, irrespective of how long the situation has lingered, the Almighty God, will do a miracle in your life for His own glory.

One very important last minute miracle you need the Lord to do in your life, that His Name might be glorified thereby, is the miracle of salvation, if you are not yet a born again child of God. Every other miracles are good, but if your soul is not yet saved, your enjoyment of those miracles is of temporary value. The Bible says, what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and loose his own soul (Mark 8:36)? If you receive every miracle, and your soul is not saved, you have lost it all. You can rescue your soul from hell today by confessing and repenting of your sins. Invite Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Saviour, and you shall be saved. Your names shall be written in the Lamb's Book of Life as a child of God and a Candidate for His Kingdom.

As I bring this message to a close, be rest assured that whatever challenges you are currently going through is not unto death, but for the glory of God, and that Jesus might be glorified thereby. Therefore, learn to thank Him in advance for your testimony is nearby. The Lord will glorify His Name in your situation, and the world around you shall hear about it.
