To be or not to be, is the question I keep asking myself daily. Do I really have to become an engineer? Ever thought of quitting at the last moment yet you just cant let go? Well that's the situation in which am in now. At times life seems so bitter and upsetting yet we have to keep pushing and moving on. "pick yourself up and move on" is one of the most frustrating comments and advice you would ever wish to listen to when at the saddest point of your life.
well, thats just an amuse bouche of what my current life is like now. I am overwhelmed by work, have plenty of deadlines to meet, highly stressed and not forgetting, am beginning to feel am depressed. This aint the best platform to be whining about my issues but hey, i need your advice. please comment, like and feel free to upvote.

Hello Joshuaemorut,

I changed my job a few years ago and was in a simular situation. I had to know everything and everyone. I had to deliver informations, which I didn't understand. I had to msit in meetings, to answer hundred mails per day and to do all the points, that come out from the meeting at the same time.
I still have this job, but now, I'm very relaxed. What did happen?
I started to organize myself. I started to priorize. I found the brave to drop some topics. I told my boss, that I only can to one after the other, and he shall tell me, what the most important things are and what is realistic.
We revealed the most ineffective ways of working and found strategies to make it better. We enhanced our team and I could give some tasks to other colleagues.
It is very important, that you find your borders and keep them. Don't work more than x hours per week. Find times, where you can retreat. Do in this time some gardening or other hobbies, that differ from your job. Meet some good friends in this time.
Be yourself. Don't fell ashamed when things don't work like you want and when others blame you. If you do some of your jobs good, you can be proud of it and promote it to the others (if you need to).
When you "survive" in this job, then in some time you will be one of the veterans, one of the heros, that outlasted that projects.

I hope I could help you.

Regards, Achim

Well, thank you for your advice . Actually am still a student trying to figure out if really giving up is the best option for me now. However I do have the hope that perhaps things will get better with time and am pretty confident of getting used to this kind of pressure. Am grateful for your advice.
