My Steem Meet-up with @xpency at Abuja, and our discussion about the steem powered project POHI (Products Of Help Initiative)
Steemit, asides being the converge of intellectuals from all parts of the world, has also become an international hub where both authors and curators meet, interact and get rewarded for their contents and contributions.
But away from this, is something even more beautiful about Steemit. Connections!
Through steem meet-ups, I have seen meaningful relationships being established, I have witnessed unexpected help offered to people in dire need of it, the conception of productive interactions which later led to great business opportunities and more. I have seen the exchange of quality ideas for the growth of communities, I have seen lives touch in diverse ways.
While planning to travel to the southern part of Nigeria from the north, I had spoke with @xpency on phone that I wanted meeting with him to discuss the way forward about the steem powered project I'm running with @lordjames. So he simply agreed for us to meet yesterday at Abuja, the Capital city of Nigeria.
myself and @xpency at a Sit-out in Abuja discussing steemit
Our meeting yesterday was a very productive one, this was my first time of meeting with the Abuja Steemian and promo-steem ambassador and he really made me feel at home.
We talked extensively about Steemit, projects and communities. I told him about the steem project I'm working on, Products Of Help Initiative and the subsequent plans I have for it, a project that focuses on providing educational support to school pupils and students in rural communities. He was really impressed about how far we've gone with the project and went ahead to share more ideas with me on what to do, to take the project to the next level. I was wowed with his depth of knowledge, experience and ideas.
@xpency also told me about his plans to promote steemit, he spoke with so much passion, he's quite an innovative young man. His strong belief in Steemit will leave you dumbfounded. I also shared some ideas with him on better ways on how steemit can be promoted.
@joshuaetim, @xpency and @gjoeohere after the meeting, giving off a steem smile
Towards the end of our meet-up, another Abuja Steemian walked in and coincidentally met us, he was introduced to me by @xpency, his name is @gjoeohere, we exchanged contacts and took pictures together. I was pretty excited to meet yet another Steemian. We also talked about the forthcoming steem meet-up at Owerri and our plans to be there.

I have learnt to consider every steem activity I engaged in precious, as precious as water. Every steem opportunity is precious, and should not be wasted.
Whether it be a meet-up, outreach, SP delegation, project, steem/SBD transfer, comment, upvote, contest etc, I consider them all precious.
I want to end by saying this that Steemit will launch and execute projects more than any government or organization has ever done, that is, if this has not been achieved already.
Special thanks to @ackza, @surfyogi and @stephenkendal. Their works in the promotion of Steemit have a huge inspiration to us.
Men them! Welldone brov, I sight your goodworks. More grace
Thanks man, we see you too
@xpency is a great steemian who is really doing a good job promoting Steem since the beginning or at least since Mid 2017
He was one of the very first to do a large scale Steem promotion in Nigeria, just google search "success #2 Steem 200 people Nigeria " and youll find his legendary Post that was at one point #1 on Steemit last year
Let us hope we can get the band back together and @thejohalfiles revisist the Blogs of @mcsamm @xpency @ackza @ortigas100 and @tj4real all at once like he did in 2017!
Johal changed our LIVES that day! It was life changing and gave us so much new purpose! I have never powered down and I still have all the steempower from that johal upvote back in 2017!
Glad the meetup was a productive one! I hope your travels are safe as you make the long trip south!
Yeah, I'll reach you as soon as I arrive, thank you.
