“Silver Adventures”- Captain Joshua Slane – 23MY19 – ‘Don’t touch me or I’ll gouge your eyes out!’

[Last time...]
The crew all man-handled the boy over the rail and down into the longboat that banged swung wildly on its tethers against the hull of the Silverton. In the violence of the struggle, a small colorful object fell out of the boy’s tunic and onto the deck boards next to the rail. Tipper’s keen eye caught the object and he reached down and picked it up.
“Yoo’re mine noo Boy!” A sharp edged voice rang-out quietly!

Commander Galligan began calling out the names of the crew that he had chosen to go ashore in Sherubrub…
“Junior Petty Officer- Carpenter's Mate Errislravenhill… Seamen- Carpenter's Crew Ergino, Teemitag an’ Ehey an’ Seaman- Able Seaman Inoy! Ready yoorselves fur th’ longboat! Muskets an’ swords, Sherubrub is a radge toon!“

He then turned towards Ickied, “Cockpit Mate- Midshipman's Mate Ickied, Yoo're in charge ay topside while Ahh’m gain!"
“Nae he's nae! But he'll be handy when Ahh needs heem..." A familiar voice rang out from the top of the galley stairs!

“Keptin?! Shoods ye be up an' aboot?" Galligan asked in surprise.
The Captain walked slowly with the help of a hand-carved, whale rib crutch…
“Ne'er felt better! Weel, mebbe nae ne'er, but Ahh’m feelin' chipper enaw!"
“It's a braw sight tae see ye back up-top again Sairrr!" Galligan said with a smile as he and all the men saluted.
“At yer ease men! Let's git 'att longboat loaded an' start pullin' fur Sherubrub! Ahh dornt want tae be anchored haur mair than anither day!"
“Aye Sairrr!” Galligan replied as he hurried the men over to the longboat.
The Captain turned to Ickied, “Whaur in heel is Loon-Tipper?! Ahh've got some accoontin' wark tae catch up oan fur thes purchase. Gang fetch heem fur me Ickied..."
“Reit away Sairrr!”
Ickied quickly jogged across the main deck just as the crew lowered the longboat into the sea with a splash! He wished he was on that boat but he knew the Captain needed a strong hand on-board at the moment.
Rounding the galley steps past the dining hall, he caught a glimpse of something strange on the Orlop deck. There standing next to a sixteen pounder, Tipper was busily wrapping something up in old sail cloth.
“Loon-Tipper! Th' Keptin wants tae see ye up-top!” He called out as he walked up to the boy, “Whit hae ye got thaur son?"
Tipper spun his head around and grimaced at him! He showed his teeth and furrowed his brow!

“Say, what's th' matter wi' ye mate?!"
“Dornt tooch me ur Ahh'll googe yer eyes oot!" Tipper said in as threatening a voice that a twelve year old can muster.
Ickied was taken aback by the strange response! Something about him was not right, but also not unfamiliar.
“Yoo're nae yoorself at aw noo ur ye Laddie?" Ickied said calmly as he stepped one more step closer and then took action, swooping the boy up by his legs and throwing him over his shoulder!

"Thaur was initially an Oldowan Lithic culture in Socotra. Oldowan stone tools waur foond in th' area aroond Hadibo by V.A. Zhukov, a member ay a Russian expedition. A recent discovery ay texts in several languages, includin' a wooden tablit in Palmyrene dated tae th' 3rd century AD, indicate th' diverse origins ay those who used Socotra as a tradin' base in antiquity an' sae forth." 😏 - Keptin.

Not Tipper! Tipper’s got a strong mind though, I know it! He can resist this evil.
Aye, this Voodoo stuff isn't for the young ones.
