Prince Francois broke the conversation with another stern enquiry, "I ask you again...what do you want here in Praslin?!"

Nabil turned back to the Prince and then, in a moment of supreme insult and haughty arrogance, spat on the flowing white robe covering the breast of the Prince! Francois was incensed almost beyond control as he quickly wiped the spittle away with the cuff of his sleeve and stared at the warrior with intense hatred!

"What do I want? Why I want your Kingdom of course and am here take it!"

[East end of the palace of Aden...]

The Jinn twisted his ankle badly in the jump off the high railing and he staggered a moment before looking back. Commander Galligan was in mid-air as he glanced upward and he quickly withdrew his sword from its scabbard! In a second more, Galligan was on the ground and he got to his feet in a flash as he faced the Jinn, a sword on one hand and a dagger in his other!

The Jinn braced himself as well as he could for the fight. Suddenly, behind him, coming up out of the darkness of the eastern slope, fifty or more soldiers appeared! The Jinn smiled in glee as he turned back towards Galligan with the look of sure victory on his face!

“Come and attack me now Infidel! My men will gladly cut you to pieces and I will feed your carcass to the street dogs of Aden!”

Galligan looked beyond the Jinn and there in the dim light of the stars shown the faces of a large group of soldiers….

Up on the high platform, Officer Ickied and Errislravenhill arrived with the other crew members…

“Bloody heel! That's half an army doon thaur!" Errislravenhill muttered as she gazed down.
“Guess Ahh didn’t pick 'att up! That was a flag! They needs a pole ur somethin'!” Ickied replied as he sized up the great number of soldiers, “Weel nae matter! Uir Commander needs help, an' naebody ever said thes was gonnae be an easy mission!"

Ickied scaled the railing and flung himself over the edge! Behind him went Officers Andofzara and Errislravenhill! Seaman At-Elvis, Yrstikken, Yprecious and Bock followed quickly behind as they all landed hard on the sandy ground below. Standing up quickly, they gathered their wits as they gazed out in the dim light and faced the overwhelming enemy!

“I have over fifty men here! Drop your swords or die!” The Jinn demanded.

“Fock ye an' yer army! Ye dornt hae th' guts tae face a cheil one oan one dae ye Jinn?! Ahh challenge ye reit haur an' noo!" Galligan yelled out as he brandished his sword in a slicing figure eight pattern.

“Heroes die a poor death fool! I have no fear of you! But why would I waste my time killing you when I have a whole army at my disposal?!” The Jinn said in a haughty tone as he turned back to his soldiers, “Kill them! Kill them all!”

For a moment Andofzara thought it was the end and the soldiers jostled in their position. But then it was clear that not one was advancing…

The Jinn stood like one who was frozen in terror…

”Kill them! Kill them now!” He screamed as anxiety began to build-up within his mind.

Still the soldiers stood their ground...

"Ha, ha ha! Ahh think yer army has hud enaw ay th' stoatin Jinn ay Aden! Wuid ay uir cruelty tae th' fowk ay thes city has spread far beyond th' Gulf!" Galligan said with grit in his voice as he began to advance on the Jinn.

The Jinn now staggered backward and nearly fell as real fear gripped him…

“Kill them! I command you! Kill them all!” He yelled again but to no avail.

Realizing that he had lost his grip of power and fear over the men, he turned to face Galligan with a desperate last stand!

<<CLANG!!! >>

The first clash of steel upon steel echoed through the early morning like a church bell as the two men engaged in deadly combat! Galligan swung high and crushed the Jinn’s defensive stance with a mighty blow! But the Jinn did not rise to power by being a push-over as he swiftly slid out from under Galligan’s blow and swiped low across the ground, hoping to take out his legs!

Galligan saw the move and with a short hop, evaded the blade’s swipe and returned at the Jinn a quick stab of his dagger! The move was so unorthodox that the Jinn was caught in the left forearm and the dagger tore through the fleshy part of his lower arm!

”Aaahhhg!” He yelled as he quickly pulled his arm back and countered again with his right.

The sound of scraping steel grated the ears as the crew all looked on in anxiety. Officer Ickied dashed forward a step but a quick grunt and a shake of the Commander’s head made it clear that this was his fight alone!

"Ahh may ne'er ken who killed ye Spinny, but Ahh hiner yer spirit fin' rest in me vengeance as Ahh kill one of these soldiers!” Errislravenhill muttered as she began to advance on the line of men.

“No, nae yit lass! Let it play oot!” Andofzara advised.

The Jinn then closed the distance with sword raised preparing for what appeared to be a mighty overhead strike! But with sword still raised, his actual attack is a hard kick to Galligan’s liver and groin, his sword raised to intercept Galligan’s if the kick is unsuccessful! Galligan wisely parried the attack with the forte (strongest part) of his sword! While looking at the Jinn’s head and keeping the actual target only in his peripheral vision, he sidestepped out of the way of any counterattack and attacked with one hand, suddenly dropping his sword into the Jinn’s foremost leg!

The blow was a deadly one and the Jinn fell backward onto the ground, his scimitar flying from his hand and bouncing along the ground! Galligan kicked it far out of reach as he then held his sword tip under the chin of the defeated man!

“Surrender noo ye snake ur Ahh will rin ye through!" Galligan bellowed as the Jinn crawled and winced in pain before him as he held his badly injured leg!
