Wheat Ears Among the Bushes | Close-up cell phone photography
Greetings, friends of CCS. I usually go for walks early in the morning. I live in a farming town, and perhaps that's why I came across something unusual. Let me tell you about it.

| I came across a sight that surprised me and made me smile. A trio of wheat ears, sprouting and growing amidst the weeds by the side of the road. In the last photo, you can see how the ears are surrounded by weeds. But first, I'll show you some close-ups of the ears. |

| The upright ears, the stars of the show. One of them was already ripening and displaying its golden-yellow colors, matching the green of the hairs growing from it. |

| It was a curious encounter. I wondered: How did they get there? Wheat is a cultivated crop, and it's planted higher up than where I saw them, in the highlands of La Puerta, Trujillo. |

| Having some knowledge of life in this town, I deduce that with all the trucks coming and going with sacks, the seeds must have fallen there at some point, and their mission was simply to grow! |

| They fell to the ground, hidden among the weeds, forgetting their enemies, and grew alongside them. Defying the unwanted plants, receiving the sun as an equal, and swaying in the same fresh air as their sisters in the high-altitude fields. |
