"The yearning to be in the House of God is necessary to grow."

Psalm 84:10 "Because it's better a day in your atrium than a thousand out of them. would choose before to be at the door of the House of my God, to dwell in the abodes of wickedness."

After reading the whole book of Psalms, it is easy to deduce that for King David, Asaph, the House of God had a favorite place. More than 25 times, David mentions the house of the Lord, and when referring to this place he does it in a very special way implying that it is one of the most favorite and loved places for him. Just like a small sample, Psalm 27:4 It says "One thing I have proposed and that I have desired, to be in the House of God every day, to contemplate the beauty of God and to inquire in scripture."** Psalm 23:6 says "and in the House of the Lord Dwell for long days." Now read Psalm 84:10 "For it is better a day in your atriums than a thousand out of them. I would choose to be at the door of my God's house before."

These and many other psalms speak of how cheerful it was for David to be in God's house. Of course we must understand that for a Jew, attending the House of God was something on the one hand obligatory, they should attend at least 7 times a year as a nation. On the other hand, every Jew knew that only in that place was the presence of God. Therefore, if they wanted to beg him, to ask for forgiveness, to seek help and to overcome in the holy wars against the enemies of God, they should come to this place. In addition, the experience of being in front of the Shekinah, the glory of God, and feeling the presence of the Almighty God, could only have him being in the temple, sanctuary or the House of God that was in a chosen and established place.

Today we have the great blessing of not only having temple or the House of God to come as many times as we want and worship God, but the Bible says that each of those who have believed Christ as our Savior, we have become temple and abode of God. This is a privilege but it is also a great responsibility. A privilege because with us this one who determines our victories, at all times I can speak to him, worship him, and ask for his help. It is a responsibility because just as he is holy, each of us must live in holiness, and maintain a behavior that is subdued and according to his will.

That place we attended the days of service. What is the attitude with which you go? What is the purpose for which it goes? Does every day you attend go with joy, and great desire to worship God, contemplate his beauty, admire his power, and exalt his greatness? Does it come with a thirsty heart of the word every time it attends and proves it by putting a lot of attention to preaching or Bible study?.

O my beloved brothers readers of the Bible, companions in this spiritual challenge, this is a sublime truth and an undeniable reality. To be in God's house for King David was the greatest, most desired and longed for from the bottom of his soul. It meant meeting with his God, with the most loved, respected and worshipped.Every Christian who awards the Temple or the House of God a special place in his life and for his life, is the person who loved, wished, despaired to be in that place not only because he adored the king of Kings, the owner of his life , to the Redeemer of his soul, but to find himself with all his true spiritual family, with whom he will live for all eternity. To be in God's house must be the greatest of all Christians ' desires.

My dear brother and friend, I hope your attitude and perspective on the temple and attending to this is like the one that King David had. Well, if it's different, I challenge you today to change your way of thinking, ask God for forgiveness and commit yourself from this day, to attend the House of God just to worship God, learn from his word, to strengthen friendship with God and others. Being in the temple, being respectful, putting all your strength and soul to worship God, and pay attention to the word. As you leave, thank God for that wonderful time, and see soon and share with other people the blessing you had, to worship God, to hear the word and to express your love with your brothers.

The atriums of the Holy Temple of God now reside in every believer; "Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwells in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16). Your presence is available to us right now! No matter how far we feel, he's closer than we thought. Let's go through the door and fill your Temple with praise! Let's go back to a life focused on passionate worship. Let's take the determination to spend every moment of every day rejoicing in his atriums.

Have a Christ-centered day!
