When a daughter is born into a family of poor parents, she is seen as a 'curse' in various coastal chars. And so he has to be a victim of discrimination from birth. Most girls are not allowed to cross primary boundaries. Parents think there is no profit in spending money on girls unnecessarily!

In the coastal areas of Bangladesh, girls are not discriminated against only in the field of education. They are neglected and deprived of food, clothing and even social status. This rate is highest in char areas. Although there are child policies and child rights laws to protect children, they are different for coastal girls.

Bailey Akhter (10) works as a housemaid in another's house. On the other hand, Bailey's younger brother is continuing his studies.

Bailey Akhter told banglanews, ‘Father and mother love their younger brother more than ever. For better eating while feeding. He regularly goes to school and works in a quality house with his mother. '

Bithi Hawlader Pooja, a political fellow and woman leader of Democracy International, told banglanews that giving birth to a daughter is a sin in this society. At all levels of society they have to fall into various problems. In the coastal areas where the rate of education is low, there is a little more neglect towards girls.

Barguna Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abbas Hossain Montu told banglanews that people in the coastal areas are less aware as they are poor. So the girl child is being neglected. In order to implement progress and vision 2021 in Bangladesh, the rights of girls must be upheld. In addition to the coastal areas of the country, the backward parents of the village should be made to understand that when the girls are educated and grow up, they are able to work alongside the men. It is possible to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh if we can ensure their participation in the socio-economic field.

He added that UNICEF has been conducting activities on children's rights, education, health and other issues in about 180 countries around the world.
