RMIT UNIVERSITY RESEARCH
Research from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia revealed a new diagnostic software which could be used to diagnose Parkinson Disease in an individual, with 93% accuracy in its result. The software is used to record how the patient draws a spiral pattern and analyzes the data in real time. The only equipment required to conduct the test is a paper, pen and a large drawing tablet containing the software.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Research Study, Poonam Zham, PhD Researcher, disclosed that further validation of result from the software, including a longitudinal study on different demographics and conduct of test on patients under no form of medication, would be carried out.
