Humans by nature are social beings. Beginning with a family, then to a community. We like to be surrounded by friends, especially those with whom we share some things in common. It's therefore not a surprise that people form groups, clicks and circles.

The network is only becoming complicated especially with the advent of social media. Its a good thing I suppose because it comes with a whole lot of advantages. We get love, support when we need it, and the results that comes through coordinated efforts and synergy. But again, it's like a coin with two sides. It has its downsides too.

A man's friends can make him look unattractive. Yes It's hard to say you are different from the friends you're mostly seen with. The old saying, show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are still holds true. It's funny how a person will have bad friends and be in denial of being like them. You attract who you are.

We're mostly a product of association and environment. What makes a group is common goal, interest, pursuits, aspirations, dreams and lot more.

If you stay in the company of certain people for too long, before long, you'll start to talk and act like them because they keep releasing energies and energies are contagious whether positive or negative. Their attitude robs on you like a perfume. How sad it would be if it happens to be a bad company. You take all of the person's vices. Like the Bible would put it:

Our association affects our perspective of life. They shape us, they define us and influence our choices. Your quality of life either improves or degenerates depending on your association. Don't be a lazy fellow in deciding who attaches himself to you. It is always better to walk alone than with people of unlike mind. But most importantly, mirror who you want. Be the kind of friend you want and you will attract same to yourself just like a piece of iron to a magnet.
