Steemit Engagement Challenge | S14W1 | Do You Want to Become Popular?
Hello to all readers. First of all I would like to thank @steem4bloggers for a great contest. The topic is very interesting because living in the world of social media, several people have certainly thought of being popular in the world.
Do you want to become popular or not? Justify your answer.
I'm almost 40 years old and grew up watching famous movies like "Rocky," "Kickboxer," and "Conan." I always admired my favorite actors on the TV screen. I always wanted to be like them, strong, brave and recognized. I didn't have a phone or a computer back then. I only had dreams. Today are a little different times. Young people watch you tube and find their popularity there. They want to be like "some" blasphemers from you tube. Popularity is also a responsibility. I was always well brought up by my parents.
Would I like to be popular🤔 Of course with steemit I would like to😀 And seriously it would be nice to break out of time on the internet, make a lot of money and be recognized on the street.
What do you think, the way of becoming popular matters or not?
As I mentioned earlier, he is from a different generation. Young people now do not look at good upbringing in gaining on popularity. They sometimes want to show themselves to the world at all costs. Look at tic-tac-toe, instagram. Do you gain popularity by making a clown of yourself sometimes? YES! And that's what worries me. Freak fights, triggers on the Internet. This is how they gain their popularity. Of course, sports and metoric content will always defend itself. For me it makes a huge difference how they gain popularity. I wouldn't want to do idiotic things to become popular. It conflicts with my personality.
In your opinion, which qualities make a person popular?
The most important quality for me is to be honest. I recently watched the documentary "Sly" with Sywester Stallone. Determination and strength of character will allow you to achieve your goal. Being yourself... You have to believe in your abilities and not let negative comments affect the realization of your goals.
Being popular brings a lot of benefits. These are, of course, money because everyone likes it😀. Often some official matters will be settled faster than the average person. We can afford more things and our offenses are treated more leniently.
However, there are no pluses without minuses😀 Being popular often involves a lack of time for family, hiding from paparazzi. Often popular people are alcoholics and turn to drugs. Depression gets them. They live in a constant state of flux. They are not happy to the end. Famous athletes sometimes pay with their health in old age. Do we need such popularity? Sometimes I think to myself that it's nice to be known and liked uncle, cousin, father among your family😀 Greetings!

Es verdad en Steemit todos si queremos ser populares pero por más visibilidad y es una popularidad que si podemos alcanzar porque nos vamos acercando a ella con casa publicación y haciendo amigos con comentarios como éstos.
Pero en el mundo fuera de steemit hay mucha gente popular unos ganados con habilidades y otros ganados con cosas que nunca pensaron que les daría resultados para llevarlos a la popularidad como esos vídeos de tik Tok .

Tienes mucha razón por nuestra edad vivimos una época muy diferente, donde los valores y la educación tenian más valor, donde ser respetado es algo valioso, ahorita los jovenes no saben esos significados, se pueden degradar solo para ganar popularidad.

I find your post interesting. You associate being popular with the fame of some actors and the benefits and consequences of these.
If so, I would prefer the Keanu Reeve model of popularity, more doing, and appearing very little in the spotlight.

Jozef230 pues muchos no les importa hacer lo que sea para ganar la popular aunque sea haciendo payasadas como dices, está generación de ahora tiene otra mentalidad diferente a la de nuestro tiempo por eso es bueno orientarlos.
Es una buena cualidad que describes,la confianza en lo que hace y no dejarse afectar por el que dirán,ya que siempre habrán comentarios negativos.

I love the examples you gave.. and I really agree with the fact that people do all manner of crazy things just to gain popularity especially some of this gen Z people that won’t let us hear word on social media.
