Spotify & Tinder Team Up! I Waited Too Long!!
FUCK!!!! This was my idea!! What better way to connect than through music! I have had the idea for a dating app where individuals can view what others are into.. Like if they recently Binge-watched a full season of its always sunny followed by listening to a certain new album you might also like. It can be connected to a gaming profile as well as Amazon prime video/Netflix, etc... I came up with the idea back in 2011 but simply never acted on it..
They say opposites attract but be honest.. If you used the app and found someone who shared a lot of the same listening and viewing pleasure as you, wouldn't it be amazing to share the experience with them? Exactly!! I am available if any tech savvy people would like to team up with me on this! I have the entire layout of the app in my head, all I need is someone to team with on the technical side! We would surf the seas of money if you are ready to go on this.
Tinder and Spotify have joined together to make it a little easier to find love.
Starting today, Tinder users can pick their favorite song (an “Anthem”) to display on their profile. With or without a Spotify account, users can preview that song. For those who choose to sync their Spotify accounts, you can add your favorite artists to your profile to see who shares your taste. With or without a Spotify account, you can play previews of other people’s top songs right from their Tinder profiles. What’s more, if you have your Spotify account connected, you’ll see the artists you have in common with each person. Tinder, now with music by Spotify, not only gives you the capability to show your favorite artists and music preferences, but also to pick the Anthem that defines you, listen to other people’s Anthems and maybe make a little music with someone new.

Sharing your Anthem and turning up the volume on your match potential is simple. Here’s how it works:
Search Spotify to find your Anthem even if you haven’t connected your Spotify account to Tinder.
Visit your Profile Settings in Tinder to connect your Spotify account (or download Spotify from the App Store or Google Play to create a new account for free). Select which of your favorite Spotify artists you’d like to display on your Tinder profile. Start swiping to see who shares your taste in music.
