Jesus our only hope (Biblical reading of the day)
Jesus our only hope
Acts 2: 26-27
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest in hope,
27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
you will not let your holy one see decay.
Often, this experience is increasingly common both among believers and among non-believers. But this should not be the case, however it is. Believers die from the same diseases that are killing the rest of the world. They are being afflicted by the same problems. Many children of God go through life as if they had no hope; as the rest of the world does.
What is this about?
It is because the only hope that anyone in any part of the world can have is faith in Jesus Christ. And most Christians do not know how to live by faith.
Instead of being filled with the Word of God and faith, they are full of religious traditions and superstitions. And they are suffering. When the devil attacks them with some disease or disease, or with poverty, depression, divorce, they often stay without doing anything while being consumed by one of those problems. They just do not know how to act.
The Bible tells us:
Hosea 4:6
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
“Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children.
But our hope is in Jesus. Trust Him and tell the world what your only hope is and that everyone can be in Him.
CONCLUSION
The only hope that any person anywhere in the world has is faith in Jesus Christ.
