Breaking: China to adopt Bitcoin as national currency!
In news out earlier today, China has announced that it will be adopting bitcoin as it's national and native currency.
The news has shocked onlookers and surprised many in the space.
The news is being reported this morning by the Chinese Crypto Gazette, often the first to have breaking news from the region.
Bitcoin has responded favorably to this news, shooting up 10% in a matter of minutes:

The president of China, Xi Jinping had this to say about the release:
"After much study, we have decided that outlawing/banning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies was counterproductive to advancing our technology. After further consideration, China has decided we want to be the next technological global powerhouse, and we believe this is a step in that direction."
Rumors are circulating that the US is also considering taking similar actions so that they do not fall behind in the technological arms race.
We shall see how this all unfolds.
By the way there was one more newsworthy point to report, April Fools!
Yes that is right, if you couldn't tell already, this post was entirely an April Fools joke. China is not really accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment or as its national currency.

It's no longer april fools in my country so it took me a while to realise what was going on

April fools sucker! If China really did that we'd see 100% gains in a matter of minutes! One day national currencies will be on the blockchain though and much sooner than we think.
Yes we would. Unfortunately I don't think that news is ever coming. They like to control their money too much.
The day is coming though where we will see fiat on the blockchain like a ERC-20 token. You could have a private blockchain with its own rules but links to Ethereum via a plasma side chain that can scale to 1000's of transactions per second. They already have the MVP now.

Not the only April Fools prank about a nation adopting cryptocurrency as national currency... One news site in here announced our country is bringing back our old currency in digital form... The best pranks are the ones that people really want to believe to be true...

China is always more advanced in terms of trade, maybe this is why there are Arabic proverbs saying "learn though to the land of China"
