My sword collection
On May first I bought a sword at Comic con with my friend. It is a really nice black katana, so I'm going to be telling a little bit of detail about katanas and all that, if you want to know how I got it you can go read my comic con adventures story.
The first use of the word katana to describe a sword was as early as the Kamakura period (1185-1333), but the actual history of bladed weapon craftsmanship in Japan goes back over twenty centuries. Ancient katana was originally designed for cutting, but it was Widely used for stabbing too.
I got this info from google
Amakuni Yasutsuna was the creator of the katana, the first katana was made at around 700 ce. Samurai were the people that used katanas back then and also some military. Hishizukuri uchigatana Was the name of the first katana ever created.
Now that I have told you about some katana facts, let me share some of my katana stories. So if you didn't read my article on comic con i will tell you a little bit about it. I bought my katana on May first with one of my best friends. We went to a comic con together after not seeing each other for three or four years. We looked around the place for a while because we knew people were selling katanas but we didn't know where. The place was packed so it took us a while to find the katanas but eventually we did.
I called my parents to come look at them with us. My friend asked permission from his parents to be able to buy a sword so we both bought a sword from the store owner. We took some cool photos and made some cool poses that you can see in my Comic con article.
If you ever decide to get a katana yourself you need to remember to oil it every once a month if you live in a salty area but if not then once every three months should be perfectly fine, I will link a video on how to do it.
I would like to write a little bit about my kunai.
The kunai is an ancient dagger made during the Tensho era in Japan. The kunai could be used for farming tools, or weapons for attacking. Some samurai used kunai for climbing over walls. I originally found out about kunai because of an anime I used to watch called Naruto. In the anime kunai are one of the main weapons used for combat. Shuriken are similar weapons but they are meant for throwing not hand to hand combat like kunai.
I bought my kunai a few years ago because of my love for weapons and the anime Naruto. Since then I have kept it in its box only taking it out sometimes. It's a valuable treasure I keep as a collectible.
Kunai used to be more flat in shape and less heavy but as time passed people started to craft kunai a bit differently and made them in two main shapes. Which I will show with some cool pictures and some of my own Kunai.
until next time...
