The Awesome Things We Did In Albay (Bicol)

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Wonderful evening Steemians!

.... and a beautiful morning to everyone on the other side of the world.

I have been busy editing my travel vlog for two days. I did try my best to make it look presentable, but I am still amateur on video editing. I would like to share this to you all guys. This is a summary of our four-day-escapade in Albay province in Bicol Region.

ACCOMODATION

First of all, we checked in at RH Inn, which is located in Oro Site in Legazpi City. It's a few minutes walk from Ayala Mall Albay. RH Inn is a decent and cozy place to stay in. Additionally, it's affordable. This is best for transients and travelers. They have spacious bunk beds, and it's a fully-air conditioned facility. The staff and owner are friendly, accommodating and hospitable. The area is very neat and clean. They changed our blankets and pillowcases everyday.

The inn is very conducive to sleeping. However, this isn't an excellent place for light sleepers especially when the people around you could not help snoring, because you could readily hear them during their deep slumber, as the bunk beds are situated close to each other. Anyway, they also provide private rooms, and couple rooms upstairs, that you could avail if you would like to stay distant from your friends during sleep hours. You may visit their facebook page for inquiries and details. Click here.

As mandated by the government, no one's allowed to smoke anywhere in public places, but you don't need to fret because RH Inn has an area in the building-- it's provided upstairs where people who smoke could avail.

This is the area where my friends and I were staying. We occupied seven bunk beds, and there were still 3 vacant beds left. There are still plenty on the other side, and on the end portion.

DESTINATIONS

Pretty much my vlog (please watch video above) covers a run down of the beautiful places that we visited when we went to Albay. For the most part, our major goal was to see the perfect cone in a magnificent view in Cagsawa Ruins, in Green Lava Trail, in Ligñon Hill Nature Park, and in Daraga Church. You might want to check my previous post about the spectacular sites to visit to get a glorious glimpse of Mount Mayon. (Please click here)

We were not so fortunate on our first day of tour, because the Mayon did not show up at the foot of Mi-Isi, Daraga, where we had engaged in ATV ride in the Green Lava Trail. The entire area was clouded, so we just ended up resting on the 6-km danger zone.
On our way back to Oro site, the clouds gradually left Mayon's cover. So then we decided to proceed to Ligñon Hill Nature Park.

The second day was supposed to be a blast, had the government did not declare a nationwide strike. As a result, there were no jeepneys going to our desired tourist destination. Nevertheless, Mount Mayon was a clear view at the Ayala Mall, and so we opted to stay there the whole time.

On the third and last day of tour, we woke up early and prayed that there'd be transportation and that the nature and the weather would give us the opportunity to see the Mayon crystal clear, before we head back to our hometown. The weather favored us and granted what we hoped for. It was a totally amazing sight, both at the Cagsawa Ruins and at Daraga Church.

FOOD TRIP

Blessed enough to experience some of Bicol's popular dishes such as "bicol express" and "sili ice cream". I made previous posts about these food in the previous days. Please visit this (link) about my experience with 1st Colonial Grill's Sili Ice Cream.

We also went to Bigg's Diner. Please visit my post (here).

Please do watch the vlog above, so you would know what has come about during our vacation, other than what I have scribbled on this post. Thanks for stopping by and have a good one.
