Achievement 2 by @justin-cave:basic security on steemit

Greetings steemians, I am here share with you my achieviement task 2 security on steem. I opened my account day before yesterday I was getting help from @faithsonia1 on how to do achievement post task. Let's answer all the required questions.

Question 1.

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Answer: Yes, I have. I retrieved all my steemit keys on the very opening day I signed into the website platform and with the help of @faithsonia1 who mentored me. After reading how valuable each key is to my account and their various function, I downloaded the PDF page for keys sent by steemit, then saved them all in my laptop, Gmail account and on my wps office book.

Question 2.

** Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?**
I was taught the important of each keys by the newcomers guide by cryptokannon have been able to use some of the keys as newcomer.

a) Posting Key:
This particular key is used every time you want to login into your steemit account. With the posting key, we find elements such as your blog page, your different posts, and reply comments from your posts, up vote or down vote of another users post.

b) Active Key:
, the active key is a very sensitive key based on the function it carried out . The active key or password is used occasionally and perform transactions such as transfer of funds, placing a market, order, voting for a witness, converting steem dollars, powering up.

c) Owner Key
This key is only used when you want to change any key of your account and also the owner key itself. It is therefore the most important key..

d) Memo Key
A memo key used for encrypting and decrypting memos when you want to transfer funds.

e)master key
We use the master password to generate all the other keys plus the owner key. It is also used when we want to recover an account.

##Question 3.
*How do you plan to keep your master password?
Answer
In order to avoid loosing my account, I have copy my master password in my wps I have saved a copy in my laptop and Gmail

Question 4.

Do you know how to transfer your steem tokens to another steem user?

Yes, I do know how to transfer steemit tokens to another steem user. At the bottom, I shall explain with images of every procedure on how to transfer steem tokens. In order to have access into your wallet to do this transfer, you have to login with your active key.

Step 1.
Login into your steemitwallet.com account with your active key

Step 2
On the new page, click on the small arrow beside liquid steem, from the drop down menu, click on “TRANSFER”. See at bottom

Step 3
From the pop up page, enter the login of the steem user you want to transfer steem tokens to, and enter the amount, then in the memo box,
A confirmation transfer dialogue box appears with information you had entered, cross-check and click on ok

Question 5.

Do you know how to power up your steem?p

Powering is also very important because it helps you to get more steems for yourself and build up your account. Below are the following steps and images on how to power-up.

Step 1
Login into your steemitwallet account with your active key

Step 2
From the dialogue box, click on the small arrow beside the steem a drop up menu appears you will see "POWER UP "

Step 3
On the confirm transfer to vesting page, write the amount and press ok.
