Good day steemians

I am here to today to complete my achievement three post about plagiarism,citation and content etiquette.

Citation

A “citation” is the method of tell your readers/viewers that a particular material in your work/post came from another source. It also means letting your readers/viewers the information material to find the location data of that source." Source

How to cite

A well cited words or phrase should in quote. Copy and paste words/phrase or sentence, then add the link to the page of the texts location, after the text, apply the markdown method(>). Example of CITATION are done under my types of plagiarism except direct plagiarism.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is presenting another author or writer as your own works, with or without their consent or by using it into your work without proper acknowledgement.

  • There are actions for plagiarising other people's work.

Types of Plagiarism

Direct Plagiarism
This happens when a person or writer copies and paste another person's work or another author ideas, word for word, without citation or proper acknowledgement.

Mosaic Plagiarism:
This plagiarism is when a writer uses another writer particular texts without quotation or using nearest in meaning of the words to the author words while still using the same format as the original.

"Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author’s language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original."

Self-Plagiarism:
This is when a writer copy and paste his or her own past works or particular paragraphs this is self plagiarism.

"Self-plagiarism occurs when a student submits his or her own previous work, or mixes parts of previous works, without permission from all professors involved."

Accidental Plagiarism
This plagiarism is when a writer unintentionally copy texts from other author without even knowing he have plagiarized.

"Accidental plagiarism occurs when a person neglects to cite their sources, or misquotes their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source by using similar words, groups of words, and/or sentence structure without attribution. "
