Justyna's travels #1 - Hawkstone Park, The Follies - Caves, Cliffs, Woodland

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is well. Today I'm taking you to Hawkstone Park located outside of Shrewsbury. We went there on Saturday with my sister and did almost 4 hours hiking through woods, caves and climbing cliffs. I'm firm beliver that you don't need to spend a lot of money to have a great holiday or break. Of course, it's great to get into some far far destination, but I think even a short trip just to change your surroundings even for a day is good.
I'm such a sucker for nature walks, maybe because it's nice change to get outdoors when you're stuck in London or maybe because I'm a village girl deep down in my heart :)
The weather that day was amazing, views stunning and a great work out, so many hills and steps to conquer, but so worth it. According to my sister's fitness watch we did over 20 000 steps that day. We could feel our legs but the views compensated it.

I'll keep it short and sweet if you want to read about the place check out their website:

Now let me show you around the park:

This one was scary, you can't see here but the bridge was high up and I'm scared of heights, so it's good you don't see the scary look on my face:

And the bridge from down, maybe not that scary, but for me yes I always poop myself but it's worth it haha

I'm pretty sure this location must have been in some movie, Hobbit maybe? :)
