Hi friends,
I am Jyoti from India. Hope you are all enjoying the weekends, here I am going to participating in the SEC16 WEEK3 contest: https://steemit.com/hive-180301/@steemit-ironchef/sec-or-s16-w3-desafio-culinario-un-viaje-de-sabores-culinary-challenge-a-journey-of-flavors For this contest i have made a Spicy Chettinad fish curry
Chettinad is a part of Tamil Nadu in South India and the people living here are generally traders and their forefathers used to trade across the sea and being very close to the sea they eat a lot of fish and cook delicious food.
This spicy and delicious Chettinad fish curry is made with onions, tomatoes, spices and coconut. This one dish is known to be the favorite food of many people all over the world. You can serve this curry with chapati, paratha or bread as you like
Ingradients:
❤ Fish ❤ Onions ❤Ginger ❤ Garlic ❤ Turmeric Powder ❤ Salt
❤Coconut Oil ❤Dry Chilies ❤Fish Curry Masala ❤Tomatoes
❤ Curry leaves ❤ Coriander Leaves ❤ Spices
Step 1:
Mix salt and turmeric in well-washed fish and soak it for 10 minutes so that it does not smell fishy.
Step 2:
Chop onion and tomatoes into small pieces and put them in ajar add coconut, ginger and garlic and grind them well to make paste and keep aside
Step 3:
Heat the coconut oil in a pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds and saute for a minute. Add curry leaves and roasted chillies and saute
Step 4:
Add ground onion paste add required amount of salt, turmeric powder, fish curry masala powder and mix them well. The fish curry Marsala powder is a perfect mixture of pepper, coriander clove cinnamon, cardamon and spices
Step 5:
To make juice, take small lemon sized tamarind in a bowl, cover with water and soak for 10 minutes. Squeeze the tamarind with hands to extract the pulp. Add the tamarind pulp in to the pan and mix them well, add 2 cup of water and let it boil.
Step 6:
Now add the Fishes in to the pan until dip in the paste and close the lid for few minutes, let it cook . put off the flame add the coriander leaves, cover with a lid and let sit for 30 minutes for the flavors to blend together. You can use any type of fish for fish curry. Usually the skewered fish adds flavor to the still intact curry. But if you prefer pinless, you can use them too.
Now the This spicy and delicious Chettinad fish curry is ready to eat, and serve hot with rice or chapati or bread.
