Picture Stories #218 - Different Bamboos

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

Although I have always considered bamboos to be interesting plants, I never gave much thought about the different types of bamboos that might actually exist in nature. I don't get to encounter much of these stunning and exquisite members of the grass family in the place where I live. An interesting exhibit I encountered recently gave me a useful glimpse into the different types of bamboos that are present in the wild and how they look. Not surprisingly, these varieties also happen to have quite interesting names. One can easily see that visibly although all the bamboos appear green, they differ in terms of size and thickness.

The one thing that instantly comes to my mind when I think of bamboos are cute, cuddly pandas because their diet primarily comprises bamboos shoots which they keep munching almost all day long.

Have you seen these variants of bamboos?

Thank you for reading!

Beautiful explanation of Bamboo... :)

Of course @jznsamuel

Behind my house there were still many bamboo trees, even some of my neighbors asked him to make a fence. And maybe the bamboo tree in my house is different from bamboo in your post because to my knowledge, bamboo trees are divided into several types of examples, one of which is an ornamental bamboo tree and the one that grows behind my house is spiny bamboo. Bamboo trees with this type are very resistant and very suitable for us to make hedges.
