THE FOREST WILES ( Part-3 Final )

And he looked at the direction of the sun, imagined the location of the village and continued his journey carrying his brother. Suddenly, he felt that his brother became motionless. He stops and put down his brother to the ground gently and wakes him up by shaking the shoulder. Sadly, the elder brother was already dead due to over blood lost. At that movement, the whole forest turned dark and getting windy. The younger brother, soon, realized that all the occurrences were the handiwork of the guardian spirit of the forest. They should listen to the old man’s warning and now it was too late.

The younger brother ran incessantly toward the village carrying the dead body of his brother. While he was running the rumbling sounds of the forest were following behind him. Sometime he heard the roar sound of the tiger and someone calling his name from far away. Soon he realized that it was the forest wiles. The person who do not follow the rules and insult the guardian spirit of the forest will suffer hallucination in the forest. And finally, he will be bitten by the tigers or any others harmful animals. Fortunately, by the evening he saw the path way in the jungle and soon he recognized the way to the village. But he has to across the final hill to reach to the village. When he reached the hill top, he looked at the village gate. He saw a few villagers holding the torches together with the old man at the village gate.

Now, it was getting dark. By the time he still was carrying the dead body of his brother. Before he headed to the village he glanced back to the forest. To his surprise, there were a deer and a monkey that looking at him with dagger eyes from the edge of the forest with the pierced arrows on their body.
When he reached the village gate the old man stopped him and said that the dead body was not allowed to bring into the village as his brother was violent death in the forest and it will bring the ill-fate to the village. With instructions from the old man, the villagers burned the dead body outside of the village.

The next early morning, the villagers who went to their farm early saw the dead bodies of the deer and monkey at the village gate, but no one dare to touch them….and the old man told to the villager that it was the message from the guardian spirit of the forest. From the day onward, pay homage for the guardian spirit of the forest will became a custom among the villager before start to work or enter to the forest.
