A bit sad to hear your current thinking but i understand where it is coming from. I love your steemflea market project though, what is going wrong there?
Just some uncertainty about the future if steemit. To invest or not to invest - the big question here. Thanks for your support for the #steemfleamarket ! ☺️
Honestly, I'm not sure that I would... the first few days on here made me think it was a Ponzi scheme, and since then I've been trying hard to establish myself but it's so hard to heard against all the noise. There is so much junk in here, and places like Reddit have very obvious folders where you can find quality.
I think Steem has potential, but I also think it has a lot of problems that it needs to sort out before it has any hope of becoming mainstream.
That's what I'm feeling as well. Ponzi scheme has been mentioned way too many times from people all over to ignore it. I'm really not sure how to go about this as there's very little data available for investors on steem, its current state and its future.
I guess the other part of the equation is the opportunity cost... why invest in Steem when you can invest in other cryptocurrencies that are more obvious and less confusing to newbies. I'll often get people commenting on my posts, who make more money on their one comment than all of my posts combined. It really is confusing.
@kaliju, what really draws me to crypto-space, and steemit for that matter, is the excitement about the technology itself.
I agree, that more work needs to be done on the platform to improve the way curation is done on steemit . As it only attracts, more interests etc.
There is however, no doubt in my mind that steemit, is going to be one of those platforms up there, because it's something like no other in it's space right now, but that does not exclude the new developments that will soon pick up on the bandwagon of social media as well.
There is no real advice here. I guess it's about taking risks. I guess, looking back on the bitcoin millionaires, when they made that first investment, was purely on faith. They really had nothing to loose.

I think the key to making the decision, is an holistic understanding of the nature of the technology itself.
