[Poem] Connection
The dance of the senses is repetitive
The brain fluttering like a moth to the light
Again, again, again
Each impulse fueled by unknown synapses
Like robots speaking to you
Insert card now please take your change
A woman behind a screen, supervising the charade
The electronic encounter in which life and death connect
In what element does the world share with this?
Self preservation will be unruly in the future
Surely the sharp shapes stage a stunning sight
For those with a dull, damp daze in their eyes
A ritual right before my eyes
A dragon, and it’s queen fly
It’s lust and beauty
The sound of wings whispering into the wind
Delight among faith
Hope and praise
The world without technology
A wide open gaze
