What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is the act when you copy another person's work or ideas and claim it as your own in other words it is known as copy and paste which is not acceptable it is stealing until you give credit or cite to the original author.

Types of plagiarism

Self-plagiarism:

self-plagiarism is when you try to copy your own previous work and mix it new some words and use it as a recent work that is self-plagiarism copying what you have done in the past anas if it is new one by adding some words or alternating some texts.

Direct plagiarism:

direct plagiarism means writing exactly (word for word) what somebody has written before without alternating anything and without giving credit or cite to the person that is direct plagiarism..

Accidental plagiarism:

accidental plagiarism can happen to anyone this occurs during research one can copy somebody work during research and then forget to give credit or cite to the author, but whether it is accidental plagiarism or you did it on purpose it is plagiarism is not accepted when we are doing research we need to be cautious.

How to avoid plagiarism

• You to give credit to the author or writer when we choose to use another person's text.

• it is useful to put the origin the material we use this is another method to avoid plagiarism

• we can also learn from those who know more than us by asking question so that they will explaining it better to our own understanding before we write it.
