A Letter from an Anxious Dreamer to an Anxious Realist
One of the things I have been working on in therapy is removing "what if" or "the problem is" from my vocabulary. It's not wrong to talk pros and cons, however if you are going to harp on and on about the cons, it's frustrating and tiring.

I mean, I get it, you're trying to be realistic. Unlike you, I am doing my best not to beat myself down anymore. It's this behaviour that made me so anxious that I couldn't get anything done. Because there's always a problem, a con, preventing me from doing what I want.

Sometimes I find it freeing and therapeutic to blabber on about my hopes and dreams. I don't care if it's going to take a year or ten for it to come to fruition. It's called a dream!

So please, my friend, don't feel the need to treat a casual conversation as a serious board meeting. I seem like I am full of crap sometimes but I am not as naive as I look. Relax, I got this.

Cant agree more ;)
