Great post, as for me, similar to your Mark Twain test :

I check what's the utility this ICO is creating or has (what you have just described).
What problem is the protocol trying to solve, what other technologies are trying to solve that problem and what are their shortcomings of the technologies, and is the protocol better in solving the problem.
How scalabe is it?, will it open up other industries or it's only centered on one industry? e.g supply chain management (manf. , transport , distribution).

These are just my views, Why call your process the Mark Twain test? Interesting concept!
