If we are sick of flowers, it's not a good thing (the very prettiest of my flower photography)
A good photography tip is to edit just from what I call "The Beauty Instinct" (if you're someone blessed with an artistic heart and eye being the caveat, however). I prefer the "nostalgic" feel on a photo, so I edit accordingly. Might not be everyone's style, but it's artsy and it's what I love.
I take macros as best as I can in good lighting (cloudy daylight is awesome), do a little editing on the app VSCO, and the end result gives me so much peace. I edit until it "clicks" deep down in the guts of me. It seems to work.

Lovely! I never tire of flowers! I know next to nothing about photography as an art, but I live in Pasadena, CA which is known as "the land of sun & roses" and flowers are all around me all year long! So I'm always taking pictures of them. I'm new to steemit, but will probably find an excuse to include at least 1 flower pic in all my posts ;) I will follow you to see more :)
A flower per post sounds lovely & perfect! And.. I love Southern Cali. Going next week, actually! I'm primarily a writer and singer-songwriter (you can take a look at my videos if you like), but will be posting photos regularly, too :). Flowers and architecture tend to dominate!

I'm not a very fond of photo effects if it comes to flowers. The way they are in nature reminds me too much of heaven. The richness of the hues and the purity of the white or cream colors... It's like finding something that fell right out of paradise.
So probably for that reason, I liked the purple ones best. But to each their own! It does look like you're pretty good with a camera!
:). Thanks for the feedback. I'm in looooooove with photo effects, tastefully done, but not everyone has to be. But it also covers a multitude of ills when the only camera you have is an old iPhone! :).
Ah.... I have an old webcam, and I'm not sure anything can save it's pictures! -laugh- It went all grainy for no good reason!
