I have been toasting this girl for weeks and she kept saying "she feels it can not work out between us"

I met her at a wedding in Uyo, she came with her friends and she was nice to me due to the fact that she served drinks at some point. I asked her what her name was when I got the chance to and she said her name was Eddie
I was attracted to her, she looked really cool headed, average height and her chocolate skin was really glowing. When she passed by me at a point I slipped her a note, "Your beauty shines brighter than Diamonds it reflects so bright in my eyes" I wrote down. I didn't know if it made sense but all of them follow for toasting

After the wedding, I stood outside for a pretty long time hoping to see her so that I could get her contact. I then saw her coming out with her clique and I approached her, asked if I could get her number so I could call her or something I got the number and went home elated 😎😎.

"Hi it's me Kay, from the wedding" I said when I called couple days later, she remembered me and we went along well. I then asked her if we could meet over drinks on a certain day and she said it was cool. I was happy and looking forward to the date like 💃💃

I first went to meet Hiller my barber, Mr Hill as I usually called "give me my usual haircut make it dopely Litt, there's a girl involved oooo" I told Hiller. "Baddest Boss" Hiller replied and he gave me one legit haircut. In my mind am like "This girl must fall today".

The day was here, tho due to the current financial recession, money wasn't that much but I still had to make it happen. We met at KFF (KaySine Fries & Foods) and got a table, We placed our order, while they were processing it we were served with deserts, we got to know each other and all that. I cracked all the jokes in my head for this babe.

So, One thing led to another and I decided to visit her @ her place after work one day, I told her I really liked her and would like us to date. She replied that she doesn't think it can work, I asked her why and she said she doesn't really know, that she doesn't have what to say. So am like "hmmm shots FIRED, target missed, abasi Se eyen mfo! I even had headaches afterwards.

One decent Saturday evening the thought of surprising her crawled up my head, I bought a set of jewellery from Klifford By Kent Signatures and decided to gift her with it. Not expensive tho but I was just trying to be a little bit romantic, I got to her house but she wasn't at home. I met her Roomie Deedi and she ushered me to come in.

Deedi told me that Eddie wasn't home and asked if she could offer me anything.

I was thirsty at the moment so i opted for something cold preferably liquid, She brought out one chilled Smirnoff Ice and gave me, I was like .......

As I am consuming my drink while watching a movie, Deedi had prepared one dope Nigerian Jollof. Ubok abasi!!!,she even served me with tray.

Deedi was so nice to me, I began to see the light in her eyes, she said I don't deserve the treatment I was receiving from Eddie. In my mind I was like "Atleast someone actually realises that I have been treated bad by this so called Eddie of a girl"

Deedi invited me to for a get-together the next day, tho I was reluctant at first, I finally went with her and had mad fun. I was so happy the following weekend she called to ask if she could come over to my place. Gbenga!!!!!

To myself I was like "Before nkor" but my reply to her was "Sure, I will be done with the office from 4:00pm and @ 4:30pm I'll be at home". She came around couple minutes to 5:00pm, she insisted on her making dinner, where she made a nice Rice and goat meat peppersoup.

We proceeded to talk about her work, life in general and a whole lot of other things. I must say I felt really comfortable with her. Long story short, in the convo, I asked her if she could be my girlfriend and she said yes on the spot!

She stayed late tho so wen it was time for her to go, I went with her, we bumped into Eddie at the gate. She looked at the two of us all smiling and happy and she gave me the "Kay dear how are You" sentence. In my head I was like, come again nigga say whaaaa!!!!!

I just said, "Oh Eddie it's you" & wakered & passed. I therefore Hugged & kissed Deedi goodnight.
On my way out Eddie stopped me and querying me what was going on between me and Deedi, I updated her on the movie called Single and searching Kay telling her that Deedi is my heartbeat. "How" she exclaimed and I proposed to her that it wasn't her business.

She said she doesn't believe it, that I was toasting her couple days ago and now I'm dating Deedi? See me see trouble o
"I thought you said we weren't compatible"? She said she was only testing me to see how serious I was you can imagine, she further said that she liked me too. I laughed

"You were testing me ba, I look like An event microphone shea?"
I walked away, She kept pleading, texting that I should forgive her, that she was just / only playing hard to get you can imagine. That I can't leave her for her roommate!. I further made it essentially clear to her that if I hear that she gives Deedi one single headache in that house that I will personally handle the issue!.

What made me perplexed with Eddie was that the time i sacrificed I would've used it to hustle. But she said "she doesn't think we could work not even an attempt"
