How To Work Less, And Make More.

in #life7 years ago

We often aren't making enough, whether it's money. Or we just don't have enough time. Sometimes things get really rough. I am obsessed with productivity, I'm always looking for ways to grow my business, and spend more time doing the things that I love.
The problem is the answers often right in front of us, but we just don't see it.

Work stacks

I'm always talking about batching your work. Would you think this is possible?
– Posting on Instagram twice a day
– Posting on Pinterest 30 times a day
– blogging
– working a part-time physical job for five hours a day.
– Uploading 80 Shirt designs in a day
– Sleeping eight hours
-- Manage 3 Employees
-- Do niche Research and generate quotes for at least 320 shirts a month.
– Having two home-cooked meals per day
– Still having time to go hiking, drawing, Running and all of the other things I like doing

Is this even possible? There may have been a few things that I left out.
When you work in stacks, you save so much time.
How am I doing all these things? While I'm still trying to get most of these ready. I'm realizing it's working out.

Instead of just make uploading 80 designs in a day. I upload 560 in a day. Sure, it's the most of the day thing. But once it's done, it's done for a while.

I then move onto the next thing in my list. I'm able to get so much done in a month. It almost seems impossible. But the thing is, when you work on one thing for a long period of time. You're able to get everything out, set up everything, and get it all done. We don't realize how much time we are wasting, by cleaning things up, putting them away. And then just pulling them out again the next day. Switching tasks also overloads her brain. You may have noticed that it takes a minute for you to adjust. By not doing something totally different, you don't have to wait for that time to adjust. You already are mentally adjusted to the task in front of you.

Let Go Of Opportunities

We can't say yes to everything, so you need to decide what you want to do the most. I know I'm guilty of this because I've way too much my plate. But I feel like I've chosen all the opportunities that will maximize my success in life. I had to let go of a lot of other excellent possibilities. But it's all been worth it.

Learn How To Combine Tasks

One thing I have to do regularly is to research and figure out quotes that will work well on T-shirts. I then forward these to my employees.
I realized as I was doing this that updating my Pinterest at the same time is very efficient. If I find anything cool, I can share it on my Pinterest. While gathering quotes. Combining tasks in this method works well. It allows you to get more done in less time.

We don't have to give up on everything that we want, just because we don't have enough time in a day. Putting enough time in the something is important to get maximum results. We can't just put one blog post up and expect results. We can just do a little bit of something and expect to get exactly what we want. This is why consistency is important. But doesn't necessarily mean you have to let go of all of the good opportunities in your life. By stacking and combining tasks, you can work less but make more. Once you choose out the right opportunities. Ill become easier.

Stacking work of course, but it does take discipline and productivity/attention needs to be at the max! Still thank you for sharing and need to rearrange some tasks in 2019! 😊

You do! That would be a great goal to have hehe.

That was interesting to read how you manage to get so much work done on so many projects. One of the major things is one you talked about right off the bat. THE LIST. I'm finding that a list is absolutely necessary if you intend to do anything other than just drift from task to task.

One thing that’ll really kill your efficiency is when you start up one task, then get distracted and start another one before you finished the first one. I know a lot of people who do that at my job. It drives me nuts when I’m asked to do a different task when I’m in the middle of one. Not only does it slow everything up, but it increases chances of error in your orders by a ton!

For me it isn't that I don't have the time, it's that I don't want to do all the work. But it is something I am working on changing so when I do my course next year, I can manage studying a lot for that, blogging on multiple sites, and anything I want to do like streaming.

LOl! Wow! I know how that is on my lazy days. I defiently think it's habit. when you really hold yourself to do it, You are more likely to do it. And It becomes easier than not doing it at all :) Also look at the potential rewards hehe. Blogging on Multiple sites? Hehe which ones do you have planned?

Yeah once I make it more habit I will be able to do it. :)
Besides Steemit, I want to use Trybe more and the occasional Weku post. Working towards easier savings and living later on if I don't get work right away. :)

Wow @kaylinart i find you list of what you get through a day, supper impressive. Id be happy getting through a fraction of that, deffinatly going to try and start working in stacks as i can see the benifit of this.

Best of luck with your goals
