Just thought it'll be nice to clarify you on something.

THE SIGNIFICANT MEANINGS OF A "DREAM" AND A "SUCESS".

But first let's identify them the way the dictionaries will do*

                             SUCESS
                             ********

The accomplishment of an aim or goal.

                             DREAM
                            ********

A cherished aspiration, ambition or ideal.

WELL GOING TO BE BRIEF ON MY POINT. did you notice something, just as we defined Dream, there was no mention of SUCCESS and in the definition of SUCESS there was no mention of DREAM.
But then they both look like they work together

Hey! Feel free one can always say " my dream was a success "

Cool, BUT THEN!

WHAT SENSE AM I TRYING TO MAKE?

it's really funny how we understand the meaning of dream in regards to SUCESS. Most people think that when one is successful e.g rich and famous with every essential elements possessed, they feel that alone is a dream come true.

In the mention or definition of DREAM there was a mention of the word IDEAL*
IDEAL means a satisfying conception of what is perfect and suitable.

Suitable for what?
Suitable for the essence of Life.

Whatever your doing or planning to do, if it doesn't affect people around you positively then it's not a dream.

Frederick Banting:

He had a vision, a dream to make people live longer and stronger especially far from diabetes, since at that time a lot of people where short lived due to the sickness of diabetes.
After his mom passed away due to suffering from diabetes, he was motivated to find a cure.

At that time his dream was able to come true after he could solve the problem of diabetes to an extent using insulin injections which though not a true cure but could extend the lifespan of suferers.charles-best-and-frederick-g-banting-on-roof-of-medical-building-of-picture-id515505244.jpg At his time through his insulin ideology a lot of lives where prolonged and a lot of people lived longer.

Let's look into the story of Martin Luther King Jr.
An American baptist minister and activist, became the most visible spokes person of all time and leader in the civil rights movements from 1964 through 1968. Popularly known for his "I have a dream speech" civil-rights-leader-reverend-martin-luther-king-jr-delivers-a-speech-picture-id74280021.jpgdelivered to over 25000 civil rights supporters from the steps of the Lincoln memorial in Washington DC.

This happened in August 28, 1963 in the event tagged "march on Washington for jobs and freedom "

A time where the blacks "Negroes " were seen as nothing in the society. They were placed at a very low class of value having almost no job and extremely rarely seen in political offices of the country.

50 years later Martin's dream came to past when on November 4 2008 Barack Obama defeated Republican president nominee John McCain 52.9% to 45.7% winning the election becoming the 44th president of the United States of America.

Good!

How about the innovator behind the Brooklyn Bridge.
A bridge that stands tall and firm in the US. Connecting the cities of NewYork and Brooklyn.
This very great structural treasure! The first steel-wire suspension bridge in the world all from the brave idea of Sir John Roebling, a civil Engineer and statesman who was ridiculed by world leading civil engineering experts as at then, for his idea of the bridge .

They saw his ideology bridge to be impossible and as such dint take part of it all. John roebling on his own side was never discouraged, though in the process of bringing this dream to reality, he passed away after his accident at the site became very severe.

However 14 years later the bridge was completed by his son whom he shared his ideology with. Even though there were challenges of paralysis on his son, Washington roebling, a result of a contaminated disease at the site, THIS DREAM BRIDGE WAS ACTUALLY A DREAM COME TRUE*

so clearly looking at this instances it is very clear that dreams are not more of personal SUCESS stories, rather they are personal sacrifices that can help other people and change the world for good.

Now getting this ironed out, it's not a crime not to become rich, famous and we'll to do, besides its one of the best things that could ever happen to anybody. But what I'm spelling out is that dreams are more like our plans to change the world for good, something you could call LEGACIES *

If everyone is a dreamer, the world on its own will be a far better place than it is now, unlike when everyone is more of his or her own ego, selfish and living a life of a ONE-MAN WORLD*

We all can make a difference with our lives, all we have to do is DREAM and be selfless.

And lest I forget, there's also something you need to know about "DREAM" , it's not actually a must, or do or die situation that our own visionary dreams must be actualized by us the "DREAMER" ,martin-luther-king-jr-national-memorial-dc-picture-id678390075.jpgjust as clearly seen in the case of Martin Luther King Jr and John Roebling, they never lived to see their dream being actualized, but there's one thing they surely did!

They made sure thier ideology was well spelled out thoroughly and intensively living no stone unturned and through this, thier messages were passed to the younger generation.

So the fact still remains that thier dreams were actualized not directly by them but certainly through them.

         ...........MY MAJOR MESSAGE
                       ********************

IN ALL OUR PLANS, GOALS, LIST OF THINGS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED, WE SHOULD BE MORE OF A DREAMER THAN A PERSONAL SUCESS ACCOMPLISHER*

               #THE IDEA IS SELFLESSNESS#
