Commendable effort Kenny, I wish you an awesome experience.
I will look out for the (potential) return blog as I would be very interested in what you have to say about the experience.
As far as the love/hate relationship with Steemit. If I told you it has/is putting a massive strain on my relationship, and I'm excitingly attending Steemfest next week - I think I'm with you there.
Enjoy your time, but do come back. "Digital" vs "real" relationships is an illusion, IMO. The emotions we share and connect over are real. If Steemit wasn't in balance for you or if you were here just for rewards, then surely step away. Come back for the friendships.
I'm already back haha! Not really, simply going to be posting a vlog series. Turns out the schedule here is much less full than I was hoping for and cell phones & laptops are always out & around :-/
I wish I could say I've had much in the way of emotional connections on Steemit, but those were pretty much all back in the summer of 2016, before the place (at least from my limited point of view) became a ghost-town inhabited mostly by bots.
I think coming back to it this way, simply posting a video when the urge arises (written posts are a definite no-go with just a phone) and not checking back but once a day at most, should help bring more balance to the whole thing.
I hope you enjoy your time at the healing retreat in Mexico!
And thanks again for linking me into the platform!
Wether or not steemit becomes a major income source in my life, I definitely appreciate the platform, and the potential it holds.
I'm sure looking forward to it! Today's journey had a hiccup, as I made it to Tijuana, but was rejected for my flight out of here because it was at the 45-minute mark (though the plane was still boarding an hour later)... No flights available to Acapulco until Tuesday... So now I'm at a hostel in TJ, flying to Mexico City tomorrow, and then from the City to Acapulco.
I'm glad you joined the platform, and hope you continue finding success here!
You we're one of the people who convinced me to try Steemit and I'm very grateful. I'm still finding my true voice and message but I'm finally on the path to actually finding it.
Keep going after the things you feel are most important. Your courage to do so is inspiring to many!
Congratulations on your 1500 followers, @kennyskitchen. Your year of hardwork and dedications determined your success. Continue giving your followers good contents.
Thanks for your words and support. I'm really just needing to dedicate my energy back towards myself, to take away any distractions from integrating my emotional history/trauma.

Thanks, I appreciate that.
It certainly sounds like Steemit's become a big part of your life :-) I hope you continue to find growth, opportunity, and community here!
