Are we on the verge of World War 3?

I recently developed an interest towards the growing tensions between the East and the West and in my opinion, an all-out war is imminent. Being in a Western-aligned country in the East, and surrounded by Eastern giants like China, combined with the fact that my country's military arsenal is subpar, we may be caught in the crossfire of the impending war.

It is a fact that this discord is mostly between North Korea and the US, stemming with the latter's vocal aversion towards the former's efforts in developing its artillery, especially nuclear weapons. Some say that NoKor isn't that much of a threat for their nukes are known for being inaccurate, but this is what makes it dangerous. These nukes could unintentionally hit areas that are not being targeted, creating war casualties that were just mere victims. The said country is also developing missile-mounted ballistic nuclear warheads for increased efficiency.

The continuous undiplomatic verbal exchange between the two leaders brings the situation closer to an armed conflict. Both sides seemingly taunt the other to just start dropping bombs all over. And that is extremely scary. I never once thought that I may be able to see such during my life but here it is, brewing right in front of us.

And it didn't stop there. The words that were said weren't empty. All of them were accompanied by actions which make things even more alarming. In this month alone, NoKor fired off a bunch of their missiles over Japan and SoKor and accused Trump of declaring war, even sending jet fighters to intercept American bomber planes.

Now, do you guys think this will become an actual large-scale battle? Or is there a chance that this will all blow over and become part of the history as a failed WW3?
