Tekken 7 - Staggering Complexity - A Steemit Review
Tekken - One of the worlds most complex and lovable Fighting games is back!
With it's ninth installment Tekken 7. I can't describe how excited I was whilst downloading this on Steam. I've always been a fan of fighting games, I was introduced to them on the NES in the form of Street Fighter 2. When the Playstation finally was released, we saw Tekken rise to fame and I was one of the ones playing the heck out of it back then. Here is a quick review - I hope you enjoy! One thing I can say is that this game absolutely surpassed my expectations. In a time where we find games watered down in the publishers hope to make more money through selling DLC, I'm glad to say, Tekken 7 did now follow this path, the game is abundant with content. Enjoy the review!
Getting into the midst of things...
The first thing you notice is the crispness of the menus and sound. We are certainly in the Era of High Def, I can only say I wish I had a 4k rig to try this one on! Once going into the character selection screen it's pleasantly surprising to see a cast of our favorite Tekken fighters plus some new additions too.
Gameplay...
The gameplay has not suffered at all, if anything it's been improved upon. One thing I hate seeing Developers do is water down mechanics in new version of what would normally be a very complex and challenging game. Tekken 7 has not suffered this fate. The gameplay remains staggeringly complex and there are an endless amount of way to go about defeating an opponent. If you're a fan of button mashing, 20hit combo madness, this could be one for you. If you're good enough. Nothing feels better than seeing and hearing that lovely YOU WIN after devouring your opponent.
Final Thoughts...
Tekken 7 has a remarkable way to modernize a nostalgic great in a fast paced and technical way. The game hasn't suffered at all and is certainly an improvement on all past titles. If you haven't had a chance to try this one and you're a fan of the genre, try it out!
I also want to take a quick moment to make a Shoutout to some of the most important yet unmentioned people on this platform;
The Curators!
Throughout my time using the platform I've noticed there are people driving the quality content we see in the trending and hot pages. These people are part of the reason that Steemit is a remarkable platform. Not everyone likes to curate or even use steemit for it's true purposes, these people do.
So if you don't mind, drop over to the page of these un-sung heros and give them a follow for supporting our platform! They are these people;

Upvoted ... Tekken is the BOMB.. How much better can it get? Even though my favourite is still the Street Fighter Series. I do love Tekken :)
Seriously! Street Fighter and Tekken go hand in hand for me at that #1 spot. They're both awesome!
I am old school. Ken and Ryu are still me boys when it comes to kickin ass SHORYUKEN!!!!!
Ahhh! I haven't played Tekken in years! Thank you for the reminder, that game is freakin' awesome!
Oh, if that's the case, you absolutely gotta try Tekken 7! It's amazing! I wasn't expecting it to be half as good as it was!
I am trying to remember which one I played last and am drawing a complete blank!
A guy I was visiting in DC got me into it and he caught me trying to smuggle it out of his house to borrow. 😂😂😂
I am so glad you posted that, I may be going to a game store this week so I might pick up a copy!
