The Diary Game // My busy day at work // [21:11:2024]
Hello my good friends in #steem4nigeria, I bring greetings to you all, hope you guys are doing pretty well! I'm fine also. This post aims to share with my steemian colleagues how my Thursday went.
Just like every other days, my alarm woke me by 5am, I observed my morning devotion by singing some worship songs, praising and praying to Jehovah, thanking Him for making me to witness the brand new day.
Thereafter, I cleaned the house and later entered bathroom and brushed my teeth, freshened up and took my usual 2 glasses of water being my normal water therapy routine.
It will interest you to know that for the past months now, we don't have electricity light in my area, due to the faulty transformer that does supplies electricity light to us. And the cost of buying petrol to power generator and pump water in this period of removal of petrol subsidy which caused the hike of petroleum products and other commodities in Nigeria is nothing for a common citizen to go by. I was left with no option than to go buy water in the neighborhood.
Before I finished fetching water, it was about 9am. That was already late for me to leave for office so, I couldn't eat the breakfast. I had to warm the remaining porridge plantain and take it in food flask to the office. I did that in a rush for me to meet up with the wedding programme design and printing work that I have at hand.
I arrived my office by 10:15am, after cleaning the office, I went to refill gas to power my generator since there was a little quantity left. One may wish to ask "why refilling gas?". The reason is not far fetched, the effect of the removal of petrol subsidy has has caused many businesses to shot down as is difficult to meet up with the business that requires electricity to run. That's why I converted my gasoline generator from petrol to cooking gas as cooking gas seems to born a bit slower than petrol.

I was fully settled in office around 11am, I started the wedding programme design immediately, while the design was ongoing, other printing jobs from my customers were being attended to. The programmes was both fold 3 and hard cover jotter programme. The design, printing and other officers work took me more than 6 hours. I give myself accolade for always being strong and capable to attend to my customers accordingly. Though I wasn't able to do the finishing part of the hard copy programme because of time, since the wedding is on Sunday 24th November, 2024. I will continue the finishing process tomorrow.

I closed from office by 5: 40pm, I was tired and at the same time tasty. On my way to the house I quickly remembered the popular saying that "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Meaning, you should find time for yourself and have some fun. I branched a seat-out and relax, have some fun with some bottles of Hero Premium lagar Beer with roasted chicken before I went back home and freshened up, eat my dinner and retired for the day.
A busy and fulfilling day
The government should do something about the transformer
It's a serious situation.. really
Thank you for your comment, the issue of electricity in Nigeria should be discussed, as to who should handle the maintenance and repairs of transformer.
Because whenever the transfer is faulty, they will leave it for the community to suffer for repairs.
The idea of using gasoline in place of fuel is very nice. It would help save money.
I am so sorry about the lack of electricity in your area. I can imagine how it feels not to have electricity which is a basic amenity.
